The event will feature a delicious afternoon tea served in the elegant Walkers House, followed by a guided tour of the castle and access to its stunning gardens. We’ve arranged the event in two groups to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy the experience: one group will begin with the castle tour, followed by afternoon tea, and the other will enjoy their afternoon tea first, followed by the castle tour.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be light entertainment, making this a perfect occasion to celebrate SSAFA’s 140 years of dedication to supporting our Armed Forces community. Whether you are a long-time supporter or new to the charity, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience in a breathtaking setting.

How to get there

By Road

Poised on the side of the Welland Valley, the Castle is off the A6003, 1 mile north of Corby; 24 miles from Peterborough, Northampton and Leicester; half an hour from the A1 and the M1 and 10 minutes from the A14 at Kettering. For SatNav’s, please enter LE16 8TH, which will take you to the main entrance at the top of Rockingham Hill on the A6003.

By Rail

There is a regular train service from London St Pancras to Corby (3 miles),Kettering (8 miles) & Market Harborough (10 miles). The train journey takes approximately one hour. Taxis should be available at the Stations.
