13 Bridges Challenge wins Silver Award and raises nearly £60,000
03 August 2022
Our 13 Bridges Challenge is having quite a year! We are delighted to announce that it has placed silver for Best Charity Event in this year’s Charity Event Awards. The team put their heart and soul into creating and delivering the 13 Bridges Challenge which, this year, saw 648 participants sign-up for both the in-person and virtual events.
The National Rail strikes didn’t hold our participants back as they made alternative arrangements to be ready on the start line early on a Saturday morning. Starting near Tower Bridge, the challenge's route headed west of the city, crossing many of London’s iconic bridges, including Westminster Bridge and London Bridge. Participants then crossed the finish line to be greeted by well-wishers and received their very own medal after taking on the final bridge – Battersea Bridge.
The current total money raised has reached a staggering £59,363 so far and, with money still coming in, we’re sure it’ll surpass that £60,000 milestone.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone that took part both in London and virtually, we can’t wait to see you for next year’s event!
