What do they do?
Speech and language therapists work with individuals who have speech, language, and communication problems to help them communicate the best they can.
Who can they help?
Speech and language therapists can help children and young people who haven’t started talking yet, those who have hearing impairments or memory problems, children with ASD (autism spectrum disorder) as well as children and young people who are impacted by stammers.
How to contact them?
A referral form needs to be completed by a parent, teacher, or health professional, this will detail what the main concerns are and for any other information which may help the speech and language therapist understand why the child/young person is being referred.
