Offer advice and support to pupils on a variety of health topics

What do they do?

The School Nurse Team offer health advice to children and young people under the age of 19.

They provide advice on health-related issues including:

😴sleeping
🍏eating
🤯behaviour
⬆️growth
⚧  development
🏃‍♀️ healthy lifestyle
💕sexual health

Vaccinations

School Nurse team also carry out vaccinations on a wide range of ages within schools:

🦠 Nasal flu - all school years

 

💉 HPV (Human Papillomavirus Vaccine) in Yr8
The HPV vaccine helps protect against cancers including cervical cancer, some mouth and throat cancers and some cancers of the anal and genital areas.

    

 

💉 Men ACWY (Meningitis) and the 3-in-1 teenage booster (tetanus, diphtheria and polio) in Yr9
 

How to contact them?

The School Nurse Health Care Team are based within both St Johns School (Episkopi) and St King Richards School (Dhekelia) for students to go in and talk with them during term-time. 

They also work alongside Foundation aged school children carrying out vision and hearing tests.
